Matt? M.W.? Froelich, 89, Mandan, died March 26, 2008, at St. Alexis Medical Center, Bismarck.
The mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Catholic Church of Christ the King, Mandan, Rev. Kenneth Phillips as celebrant. Burial will follow the service with the Union Mandan cemetery with military honours, by post and VFW Post 707 American Legion 40
Tour will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2008 for Weigel Funeral Home with Knights of Columbus Rosary 7:00 am, followed by a Parish Vigil at 7:30 am. Visit continue to encourage one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home only.
Matt, born Oct. 24, 1918 in the vicinity of Timmer, ND, the son of Katherine J. And Matt (Fitterer) Froelich. Matt has lived on the farm and at school, rurality Freda, ND. In 1928, the family had a farm near Selfridge. Matt Selfridge graduated from high school in 1936, then came the Civilian Conservation Corps, forestry and Supply Clerk sergeant in Priest Lake, ID. Betreuender Mankato Commercial College for a year, he went to work as accountant and a substitute teacher. During the year 1939, he was appointed Sioux County Agricultural Adjustment Program Administrative Clerk layout and aerial photographs of Sioux County. Matt went to the death of his parents, two brothers, Mike and John, and 2 siblings.
